Your camping trip could be terrible if you do not take the right supplies with you. Be prepared before you set off, write a list and pack everything you will need. If you are hungry all weekend or don’t have enough dry clothes, a good camping trip can go quickly bad.
Fortunately, getting good camping supplies is easy these days. You can order just about everything you’d ever want or need online with just a few clicks and some electronic order forms. There are also more supply stores for camping appearing on the high street.
It can be a fun experience going onto a camping store. First of all, you of course get a firsthand look at the camping equipment you are about to buy. You might have been disappointed buying something online and finding it was poor quality. There are also some experts at the camping shops who can help you pick what you need.
You might think about buying all your supplies at a camping store if this is your first trip. If you have been camping for years you might know what you should and should not buy online. Now that I’m more confident with what I’m doing, I order everything online. I’ve found the brands I like, and I usually know what I’m going to need. Single duvet covers are great to take because they stop your sleeping bag getting dirty.
knowing where to get your supplies from is the easy part, knowing what to take is where it gets tricky. It all depends on what type of place you will be camping and how long for. If you are carrying your supplies whilst hiking, you will obviously take less than if you were driving to your destination. If there’s any doubt in your mind, just bring it, and with time you’ll get a feel for what you actually use and what you don’t. If you are hiking far with your equipment, take the reverse attitude. If there’s any doubt in your mind, leave it.
