Paris has so many amazing places to stay, which makes choosing a single one a difficult question.

With twenty different districts, it may be a good idea to narrow your search to the left or right bank in order to keep your search short. Next, bring it down to districts founded on the inn or hotel which suits you the best in a particular district.

The left and right banks are the left and right sides of the Seine, the river that flows through the center of Paris, dividing it basically in half. The Seine runs in a westward direction, indicating that the left bank is generally the southern portion of Paris and the right half is the northern end of the city.

This makes finding your chosen hotel a great deal easier. You will find that even though both banks are the staple and hear of Paris, they are very different from each other in culture and feel.

The left bank is for you if you like fashion, art, or the Bohemian lifestyle. It features many historical sites, interesting architecture and is the heart of Parisian popular culture. More reasonably priced hotels, inns, and bed and breakfasts can be found here.

The right bank is where you will find the sophistication and refinement one thinks of when Paris is mentioned. It is also the business district where you will find the Champs Elysees and the L’Arc de Triomphe. It’s quite metropolitan, with affluent neighborhoods, and awe-inspiring contrasting architecture, both from classical and modern times.
