My business associate in London invited me to England for some business transaction after a long period of association. I have been in holland and France already to complete transactions. My desire to visit London was great because I have read a lot about the City when I was a little boy at school. My two reservations I made helped me to get a lot from the City. I booked one hotel in Russell Square and my second week was in London Victoria.

I got to Tavistock hotel by Taxi from the airport after going through all formalities at the airport. The journey to the hotel took more than an hour. The Russell Square in London Bloomsbury has got some good hotels.

I was so fond of the area although that was my first day. My street map helped me to tour some part of Central London the same day I arrived. To say that I was pleased with what I saw in London is an understatement because it was the same as I read about. As I want to see some of the over 7 million items in the British Museum and also the over 150 items of known formats and languages in the British Library, I went to those two places in Russell Square first. My next destination was Covent Garden. I went there to have a look at some of the street performers and visited some of the shops there.

For the rest of the week at Tavistock hotel London, I visited the West end area. I was in the marble Arch area and also went to the Oxford Circus for sightseeing. I also visited the Leicester Square. The Theatreland is another name given to some part of Leicester square because the are a lot of various theatres in that area. I also visited Piccadilly Circus. It was in fact another busy area of London because it is very close to Leicester Square. I paid a visit to the shopping streets in the West End area on my 5^th day and was surprised to see that the place was so dense with shoppers and other tourists. The Regent street, the Bond street and the oxford street were very packed. The China Town and the Soho were just off the Oxford Street so I took the opportunity to vist the area.

I went to stay in Victoria area in my second week as booked through Cheap London hotels agency. I was really looking forward to my stay in the area close to the Buckingham Palace and the houses of Parliament. As I have read about the changing of the guard, it was Buckingham palace I visited first when i was at the hotel in Victoria. I was also anxious to see the Big Ben which I have seen picture of in books. The Big Ben is just at the same location as the Houses of Parliament. I took the chance to be at the Westminster Abbey. I lastly went to see the London eye close to Houses of Parliament. It has been well designed and well constructed. I am not surprised people like to visit the London Eye because it is a magnificent Landmark. I enjoyed my stay in Central London and I would like to stay in the cheap hotels in Russell square as they have good accommodation standard but lower rates.
