The current popular destination in Manila is the Ocean Park, which is a multi-million dollar oceanarium complex with state of the arts facilities designed to attract tourists and locals alike. Within are restaurants, function rooms, marine research facilities, and enthralling water marine habitat.

The MalacaƱang Palace, which is the official house of the President of the Philippines, is also a common Manila tourism spot. It is the counterpart of the White House in the United States. Inside one can view the Presidential Museum, MalacaƱang Museum and the various offices of the government.

The Black Nazarene in Quiapo Church is also a popular place to visit. The Feast of the Black Nazarene yearly is always in the spotlight in the news due to the overcrowding of its followers. The followers believe in the miracles of the Black Nazarene. Its feast is every 9th of January and the patron is paraded in the streets of Quiapo beside China Town. The crowd gathering on this day is overwhelming.

The Manila Bay binds with the Philippine history. Several naval wars took place in this bay. It is where the American annihilated the Spanish forces and where a fierce naval battle against the Dutch rose that give rise to the celebrated La Naval Manila. The Manila Bay is renowned for the beautiful sunset to view.

The cultural and historical treasures of Manila are in the National Museum of the Philippines located at Padre Burgos Street in Manila. One can find the San Diego galleon, coins, porcelain plates, armaments, jewelries, and valuable artifacts found from the sunken battle ship in the 17th century.

Villa Escudero is also another place worth visiting with a two and a half drive south bound. This used to be an old sugar cane plantation toured by tourists by riding a carabao drawn carriage.

Manila has costly restaurants, bars, shopping malls and night life that give its guest unlimited things to do the entire day and night. The night life in Manila is vibrant with numerous restaurants, bars, discos, cafes, karaoke bars to spend a night of fun. The Malate district is a site to hang out at night by ordinary people who wants cool fun. For a more trendy night out, the cosmopolitan of Greenbelt and the Fort in Makati as well as Libis in Quezon City are popular among socialites.

There are also casinos in Manila where you can have fun betting all night long. Shopping malls in Manila are numerous where you can shop till you drop. The SM shopping mall has several branches throughout the Metropolitan in Manila. Expensive and fashionable and boutiques are frequently situated at the Greenbelt in Makati where other big shopping malls are also located.

Tutuban, Quiapo and Baclaran are popular places to shop with the greatest value for your money. They sell inexpensive stuff and many enjoy shopping at these places to maximize their shopping budget. Only the place is congested and most visitors are the common preys to shoplifters.
