One of the things that car owners always neglect to do is the maintenance of their cars.  But if you think about it that is a very bad thing to do.After all, you spent a lot of money in buying it so you might as well take care of it so that you get the most out of it.So you really have to maintain it. Especially since the consequences of not maintaining it is more expensive than if you did do maintenance. That is in this article why I present to you three tips in maintaining your car.

First of all you have to make sure to get your car get’s it’s oil changed regularly. The oil of the car is just like the blood of the people if our car’s oil is already dirty then the car can’t function well. Generally I tell all my customers of my auto repair San Diego shop to make sure to change their oil every 3000 miles. That direction is enough to keep the performance of your car in tip-top shape for a long time.

Tune ups is another tip which I can give you for the maintenance of your car.It is important to make your car go through regular tuneups because this can detect any small problems and prevent it from getting worse. And you can also replace the important parts of your car if they are getting old already. Customers of my smog test San Diego shop who fail their smog test I always tell them to do this.  A lot of times the reason for them failing their smog test was because of not doing tune ups.

The next thing you want to take care of are your brakes. They are important for you to look after because they are not only expensive to replace.  They are important because they are your last line of defense for safety.Working brakes can save your life while manfunctioning ones can kill you.  I tell my customers of my San Diego brake shop to always keep their brake fluid good.

If you just abide by these three tips then you and your car would have a very long partnership.
